What is MDASS?

Male Domestic Abuse Support Service (MDASS) is a joint initiative between Abused Men in Scotland (AMIS) and Rowan Alba Ltd. We provide national telephone support via the AMIS helpline and one-to-one support in Edinburgh through Rowan Alba.

How do I get help?

Call the AMIS helpline to speak to someone. We take calls from men experiencing domestic abuse, concerned friends or family members, and other services looking for support. If you live in Edinburgh you can be referred to our one-to-one worker based within Rowan Alba. The one-to-one worker will develop a bespoke support based on your needs. It’s our support, your choices. Any men living elsewhere in Scotland can benefit from ongoing telephone support e.g. someone to talk to, someone to liaise with services on your behalf. We will also try and find an appropriate local service that can provide one-to-one support.
